Dark Chocolate Chunk and Dried Cherry Oatmeal Cookies

These are just a small divergence from a the timeless classic of chocolate chip cookies. They still retain the essence of the chocolate chip cookies with the chocolate chunks, but are twisted into a delicious cookie concoction with the help of oats and a few dried cherries. While some people may see this recipe and write it off because of the cherries, the tartness of the cherry mixed with the chewy and sweet flavor of the oats and chocolate combine for a wonderful balance when baked together.
