It’s the middle of the summer, so there is still time to have loads of family fun and check off activities on your summer bucket list! Or, if you and your family don’t have a summer bucket list yet, make one now! Check out some of these bucket list ideas to add to your list!
1. “Minute to Win It” Game Night
Nothing can bond a family more than a family game night! Forget about the typical games you usually play, instead look up fun “Minute to Win It” games that will have everyone on edge! For more added fun, invite friends, family, or neighbors over to partake in the family game night and add to the competition!
2. Visit a Nature Center or Museum
There are plenty of museums or nature centers that you can visit with the whole family. The great thing about this summer activity is that most of them are indoors. So, if it’s a particularly hot day, this is a great summer bucket list activity to have on your list!
3. Backyard Movie
If you have all the materials you need to set up a backyard movie, then you’re golden! Grab your projector and a white sheet and enjoy a backyard movie night. You could even invite over neighbors to enjoy the fun!
4. Squirt Gun Painting
Get crafty and experiment with different types of art projects. Squirt gun painting is a blast and is perfect for the summertime because it is a bit messy. However, it’s totally fun and the final products look pretty amazing!
5. Go to a Ball Game

6. Have a Lemonade Stand
Nothing says summer like having a lemonade stand. Set up a makeshift stand and make some deliciously cooling lemonade and see how much you can sell throughout the day!
7. Go to the Zoo
The zoo is a great place to visit on a wonderful summer day! Gather the family to stroll around and see all the animals. There is always so much to do and see at the zoo and you’ll probably learn a thing or two about some species of animals.
8. Visit an Amusement Park
For a family-fun day you can always head on over to an amusement park. Spend the day enjoying the rides and food before heading home for next day’s adventure!
9. Visit a Historical Site
Get out of the house by visiting a historical site! There are plenty of historical sites to visit with the family. Take a trip downtown to Old City or spend a weekend in Gettysburg. Not only will you have fun as a family, but you’ll also be learning some fantastic history as well!
10. Visit the Beach
Nothing is better than a beach trip during the hot summer months! Going to the beach is always a fun family-activity and will get everyone out of the house to relax & enjoy the sand & waves!
