Now until August 20th every Wednesday through Sunday The Oval is back on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway where you can enjoy some of the usual activities like shaded beer gardens, community movie nights, over-sized games and much more. There will also be live musical performances as well as varying fitness classes open to the public. What’s new this year is an inventive and immersive art installation with focuses on the unfamiliar aspects of Philadelphia culture, as well as an evolving mural which everyone is invited to add to. Free Yoga on Race St. Pier
Everyday until November 12th you can attend a yoga class completely free! Get there early and pick your spot overlooking the beautiful Race Street Pier and the Delaware River. There are classes every Monday through Friday at 7:00 am, as well as every Monday through Thursday at 6:00 pm. Classes are also offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am. Be sure to make it to a special Solstice class or the Twilight yoga class. The next one is coming up on August 7th at 8:30 pm.
Broadway Philadelphia Presents: Wicked
Back in Philadelphia by popular demand, the Broadway musical Wicked will be playing at the Academy of Music from July 26th until August 27th. Every Wednesday until November 22nd the Fountains Farmers’ Market will be hosted by Farm to City from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Feel a sense of community as you shop for locally grown produce.
