What’s Happening this Week in the Lehigh Valley

2nd Annual Southside Swing at Steelstacks

From July 20th to the 22nd is the return of the Southside Swing! Grab your dancing shoes and get ready for three fabulous nights of swing, rockabilly, and jazz music! Performances include The Avalon Jazz Band, which specializes in French and American Swing Jazz, as well as The Evan Turner Big Band, which stays true to its name at a full 16-piece jazz party band! These wonderful musical performances are all free to the public and the Southside Swing will feature large wooden dancefloors on both the Levitt Lawn and the Air Products Town Square at Steelstacks. If your swing-dancing might be a little rusty, don’t worry! Before the festivities all guests are invited for a free beginner swing lesson before the show in The Gas House Dance Hall.

Bath Community Days

Bath Community Days are from July 20th to the 22nd from 3pm to midnight every night! The Bath Volunteer Firefighters & Ambulance Corp with help from the community has arranged these days and nights filled with fun for the whole family! Throughout the night guests can expect to see dazzling fireworks, exciting amusement rides, wacky games, delicious food vendors, and even some demonstrations from those putting the event on! If you’re feeling fit there will also be a Bath 5K for whoever wants to participate. The fun all goes down at Firefighters Park, 300 N. Chestnut St., in Bath, PA. Be sure to bring the whole family to share in the fun!
