Vibrant Colors
In 2021, we want to use color to create a home where we can relax, recharge and feel comfortable. We will see a lot of warm, serene hues from soft pastel tones to serene blues and greys to create a calm base. Additionally, we see a desire for brighter color hues to add cheerfulness to our lives.
This year has been hard, and we’ve spent most of it inside our homes. This means we are thinking more about how we design our spaces and how they can refresh and reinvigorate us. Expect to continue seeing rich, saturated hues to create lavishly colorful interiors. Look to jewel tones and deep earth shades to add some variation to your neutrals. Even think about vivid palettes to create a visually stimulating home!
Sunny Hues
Yellow will be a big color in 2021. A soft yellow can be used as a neutral or as an accent to pretty blues, and ochre and mustard prints paired with earthy tones.
Colorful Artwork
If you’d rather flood your walls with colorful, bold art, opt for a neutral backdrop to showcase it! Taupes and warm whites will make a comeback as the color trend for 2021. Ultimate Gray is one of Pantone’s 2021 Colors of the Year if you’re looking for something a tad darker.
Optimistic Shades
We will definitely see a desire for happy colors to brighten up the darkness of 2020. Darker, somber hues will fall by the wayside. Clear colors and brighter neutrals will emerge in a big way. Use vibrant colors in your workspace to inspire and motivate.
Nature Inspired
In a world dominated by screen time, many of us may want to reconnect with nature through our interiors. Use warm, rich colors that convey a sense of coziness, comfort, and safety like rich chocolate brown, moss green, and deep blues.
