Christmas Decor Ideas

While we are all likely staying home for the holidays, all the more reason to bring extra christmas cheer into our homes through decor! Read on for some great Christmas decor tips for your home:

Incorporate Other Colors

Just because red and green are the typical Christmas color palette doesn’t mean they’re your only options. Decorate with warm pinks, creams, and oranges. The result is a fun, refreshing take on the classic palette.

Festive Pillow

Liven up the living room with a festive, DIY throw pillow. Top a red pillow with white ribbon and a bit of greenery to enliven any basic chair or sofa. Or, choose any combination of pillow/ribbon color and get creative – you can even make it fit your normal living room decor.

DIY an Advent Calendar

If you’re over the traditional chocolate or toy advent calendars, make your own with paper tags and on-theme trinkets. It is a great activity for the whole family to enjoy and will look better in your home than a store bought calendar because it can be customized to your taste.

Decorate a Tabletop Tree

A small tree is an awesome centerpiece to showcase on your dining room table. Decorate it to match the main tree! Bonus: use it as an extra space for storing and displaying gifts on Christmas morning.

Line a Staircase

This idea really comes to life at night: Line a staircase with battery-operated candles for an elegant look.

Hang a Starry Sky

Hang a mix of paper, metal, and wood stars in various sizes and shapes. Use twine or more festive ribbons to create a sort of 3D gallery wall. You can leave it up all winter!

Make a Candy-coated Centerpiece

Create a candy bowl/centerpiece by color-coding red, green, and silver candy in a glass vase. Adorable and delicious!
