Ways to Celebrate Halloween Safely in The Greater Philadelphia Area

Eastern State Penitentiary

Explore one of the most famous prisons in the world like never before when Eastern State Penitentiary debuts the new-for-2020 Night Tours. Explore the penitentiary’s imposing architecture emphasized by dramatic lighting, listen to the real voices of men and women who lived and worked at the penitentiary, and watch large-scale video projections on the penitentiary’s 30-foot-high perimeter walls, including a silent film shot at the penitentiary in 1929, and 20 animated short films created by incarcerated artists for Eastern State’s project Hidden Lives Illuminated. Note that Night Tours is replacing Terror Behind the Walls for 2020.
