Jazz Age on the Delaware
This Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm you can be transported back to the Roarin’ 20’s! With musical entertainment, games, dance lessons, vintage style food and drinks, and even a pie baking contest, the options for fun are endless! Try something new this weekend at Spicy’s Kitchen Restaurant in Landsdowne where you’ll get to eat some delicious West African food along with an intimate painting workshop with international artist Shiri Achu. Participants will learn about African culture and about the art surrounding it from one of the artists herself! Achu will advise and provide input to each student, but wants to make sure everyone will have their own connection to what they’ve created. FREE Krav Maga Class
Krav Maga is a form of self-defense and this Sunday at the Valley Forge Training Center you can take a free class with no experience required! Krav Maga was developed by the Israeli Army and in the class participants will learn how to defend from multiple attackers and attackers with weapons. Participants will learn the most effective ways of defending against an attacker instead of the most effective way to attack like other martial arts. Rooftop Restorative Yoga
This Sunday take advantage of a guided meditation and yoga class on a beautiful green rooftop in Cira Green in Philadelphia. The yoga portion of the class will focus on stretches designed around loosening the neck, legs, and shoulders, and people of all levels of experience in both yoga and meditation are welcome!
