Carved pumpkins are great, but to change it up why not try painting your pumpkins? There’s a spectrum of ideas – from chic to scary – to make your deck out your pumpkins without spending a lot of money. You could try painting flowers, stripes, or patterns on your gourds for a stylish twist. Or, make them scary, paint your pumpkin green, roll it sideways, paint a face on it, and put a witch’s hat on it, or paint some spiders and spider webs on them.
Once you have your decorations in place, you’ll need to whip up some food and drinks to keep your guests from turning into zombies! Switch up your pigs-in-a-blanket recipe with wrapping multiple layers of dough around each hotdog to make them into Mummy Hot Dog. Or, try a savory snack with Salted Caramel and Bacon Popcorn Balls! Yum!
Mix up Hawaiian punch, Sprite, and fresh cut fruit for a colorful-looking witches’ brew, or try some spooky, and delicious alcohol favorites, such as a Bloody Orange Cocktail, a Morgue-a-rita, or Zombie Lime Shooters. They’re so good, your guests will scream with delight! Muh-ha-ha! Here are some more creepy drink recipes.
Happy Halloween!
