Residents and visitors to Meadow View Farms<\/em> can experience the grandeur of the biggest tree in Berks County, the Sacred Oak, just off of Friedensburg Road in Oley, PA. The 500 year old Chinkapin Oak is 73 feet tall, 21 feet wide and covers over 118 feet with its canopy. The Delaware Indians regarded the sacred oak\u00a0as a shrine tree; legend has it that a powerful chief visited the tree when his wife was gravely ill and upon his return, she miraculously healed. The Sacred Oak is on the Pennsylvania Forestry Association’s Champion Trees of Pennsylvania website and has it’s own Facebook Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n
