Philadelphia is always busy with fun events to attend, and here’s a guide for the city’s October events coming up! A wide variety of activities will take place including\u00a0the Harry Potter Festival, a brand new Cheese Steak Festival and Arts festivals like The Mural Arts.<\/p>\n
1. The Harry Potter Festiva<\/strong>l returns to Chestnut Hill October 16th and 17th in which the festivities start\u00a0off with a pub crawl throughout the area\u00a0on Friday, and continue on Saturday with Horcrux scavenger hunt, a fall maze at Woodmere Art Museum, Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, sorting hat demonstrations, fortune tellers and more.<\/p>\n 2. Philadelphia’s First Ever Cheese Steak Festival\u00a0<\/strong>is happening this October 24th a the Lincoln Financial Field.\u00a0More than 40 cheesesteaks from around the city will be shown\u00a0at the festival. Customers\u00a0can sample traditional cheesesteaks, specialty creations and\u00a0even taste\u00a0vegetarian or gluten-free variations.\u00a0The highlight\u00a0of the festival will be a world record-breaking attempt at creating a\u00a0450-foot-long cheeseteak<\/strong> on Lincoln Financial Field!!<\/p>\n 3. This October, The Mural Arts Program<\/strong> is introducing Open Source:\u00a0Engaging Audiences in Public Space<\/em>. Organized by well-known artist Pedro Alonzo, Mural Arts has gotten local and international artists to create a series of pieces\u00a0in an outdoor temporary exhibition that highlights the\u00a0views of the Mural Arts.<\/p>\n
