Out of twenty trails that were nominated in\u00a0USA Today&#8217;s 10 Best Readers&#8217; Choice Award for Best Urban Trail, the Schuylkill River Trail\u00a0was chosen as\u00a0number one.<\/p>\n<p>The trail covers almost 130 miles over five counties and is known for its reputation as a local service as well as a tourist attraction with outstanding views of downtown Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Local lawmakers and environmental officials celebrated the award on the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-pnum=\"5\">Representatives from each of the five counties\u00a0that the\u00a0trail runs through\u00a0participated in a flag unfurling and Pennsylvania State Rep.
